We kayaked to sea glass island on a windy day with an amazing guide, Darryl. The kayaking might have been challenging for someone who has never done it before, but we just paddled consistently, and hard, to make it across to the island- it does not take long and you get a view of the seaside of restaurants and accommodations on the way. It helped to be in a kayak for 2 people- fun and efficient. Sea glass island does not disappoint!!! And, you can take away as much glass as you want. Darryl offered a detailed history of the island and Aruba. There is some shade on the island, but it is very hot and windy while collecting your glass, be prepared!
The company itself might be a tad disorganized? Paying in cash proved difficult as you must count on them to meet up with you at least 24 hrs ahead of time (we planned to meet and no one showed!). Also, they did not provide Darryl with the promised snacks for the trip. Things might go smoother when they have their shop up and running, and I hope so. This tour could get popular! Our group of 2 were the only ones. I highly recommend the tour, but suggest planning ahead .
