He went beyond the call of duty in not just his knowledge, help and making the hike as easy as possible for us (this was an intermediate level hike); but he also went out of his way to drive us to the main Oranjestad Bus Station after our hike. Aruba Nature Adventure Tours was an incompetent disgrace that made this hike as unpleasant as it could possibly be. Only Rambo’s wonderful guidance through this saved Aruba Nature Adventures in our hike. We paid $200, albeit through Viator as middle company, for this hike. On our way to the rendezvous point for the hike, we called the point person at Aruba Nature Adventures. He told us that nobody was there to meet the tour customers at the appointed 7:15 a.m. time and hung up on us. How do you not know the day, time and location that your paying customers are scheduled for the hike and make preparations for this?! After Aruba Nature Adventures hung up on us and we turned our cab around to go back to our hotel, then their man called us back and scheuled Rambo, on his day off, to guide us on the hike. We then had to turn the cab around yet again, to meet at the rendezvous point! All this back and forth was too much problematic inconvenience for us as customers. I would not recommend Aruba Nature Adventures to my worst enemy. The company is bad. Avoid it like the plague. We would give ZERO stars if we could for this company, but Rambo would get more than 5; so we’ll average it out to 3, overall. Jorge was a great guide and able to answer all of our questions about the plants and wildlife and Aruba in general. Our family learned a lot! The tour ended before noon, so we still had plenty of beach time that day back at the hotel. If you are a beginner/immediate level hiker or have younger kids and are considering a hike in the park, I would highly recommend going with a guide. There's not a lot of people nor cell service on the trail, and the trail itself can be a little confusing for a first timer. It also gets hotter throughout the morning, so knowing where to stop and rest in the shade was a must. Our younger kids are probably intermediate level hikers, and I would have been a little uncomfortable if we had tried to take on the hike without a guide. We highly recommend this hike and are looking forward to trying some of the other tours with Aruba Nature Adventures on our next visit. Highly recommend- he picks you up, he drops you off, he gets the wrist bands, he takes you to lunch... all private, incredible views. If you don't like spending all day on the beach- do the half day hike (6miles) to Conchi natural pool with snorkeling experience. Jorge guides you through the hike, educating you about the landscape, plant life, wild life, & history of Aruba! LGBT+ friendly. His company is also in Fodor's Aruba book-page 187 (2022 version) under EcoTourism! Book directly through the website and save. He was so well versed with all the flora and fauna throughout the park, and you could tell his obvious love for sharing it with us. Getting away from the beach crowds to see the rugged country of the park and rocky North coast will not soon be forgotten. Highly recommend the Half Day Private Tour. It truly is private, just your party and the guide. John Bardin2023-04-13Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I recently took the Kayak and Snorkeling tour. It was a great experience. Jorge communicated via email in a timely fashion. The company is all about enjoying and appreciating nature. They recommend to wear reef friendly sunscreen. Love how they try to maintain the natural habitat. We were picked up at our hotel by Marc. We were dropped off and met our tour guide Rambo. He was great. Very friendly and he helped us stay calm and composed since my wife and I aren’t strong swimmers/snorkelers. We were the only couple taking the tour so it was very personable and intimate. We appreciated that because Rambo was able to guide us very efficiently where I think it would have been harder to keep us calm in a larger tour. We kayaked to a dock in the ocean where we participated in our snorkeling excursion. We saw some beautiful fishes and coral. The one key advice is to not stand on any coral so it doesn’t become damaged. Afterwards, Rambo offered us fruit and water to rehydrate us and fuel us for the kayaking piece. We kayaked along the mangroves and were near the Spanish lagoon. It was really magnificent to learn about the history. Rambo was very knowledgeable since he is also a park ranger. Afterwards we headed back where Rambo gave us the opportunity to rinse off. Then Marc picked us up and dropped us off at Ricardo’s at Eagle Beach where Jorge met up with us and ate lunch. Overall it was a great intimate experience. My wife and I highly recommend it and we can’t wait to visit again and try one of the hiking tours. I booked the private Sunrise Hike and Beach Meditation with breakfast for my mom and I. Firstly, watching an Aruban sunrise needs to be on everyone’s bucket list. The hike down to the beach was breathtaking and led to a private area where an instructor led us in meditation. Next we explored the area and all of the fossilized coral reefs in the area. We then hiked through a part of the island with a completely different terrain and fruiting cacti. The hike all together was just over 3 miles round trip with lots of time for videos and pictures. The highlight was our tour guide, Jorge, who was such a joy and told us about Aruban history. After the hike and meditation we went to breakfast at a beach front cafe. Honestly I’d do this again with an even larger private group. It was perfect in every single way. I’ll be back! He even helped modify the tour after we were a little more ambitious than physically capable (thanks rona). The hike was fun and it was great to see the different parts of the island. If we go back, we will book again! Cassidy Henry2022-10-03Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We can't say enough about how lovely our hiking tour of the Arikok National Park! Jorge was a great host and went out of his way to find cactus blossoms for us. The lunch was fantastic as well. I highly recommend this company and the tours. Dirk Nieuwendijk2022-09-27Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great hike with Jorge as our knowledge guide. Lots of rocks, plants, and beaches on the way. This is a hidden gem tour! Thanks for a wonderful morning. Lunch at Ricardo’s was a great way to end the morning.
